The Sales associates on the floor are extremely friendly, a little pushy (in a sly way), but friendly none the less. Sharon on the other hand (store manager) is the complete opposite. Extremely rude over the phone, talks to you as though you are a waste of her time. It is because of her that my fiance' and I will no longer shop at Art Van. And we need all brand new furniture, so...someone else will profit from that LARGE purchase.
Horrible customer service
I bought the pure sleep mattress. I tried the machine twice. To make sure it is accurate. Cause I did not believe it could tell me the perfect matresss. My sales lady said it is so accurate. That there is a 1% return rate. So I'm like cool. I'll take it. $2k later. I get the worst sleep. I wake up every morning in back pain. So I went back to talk to them about it. They said give it a month. So I did. Same. Pure back pain and constantly waking up in night. So I called art van direct. Art van said. Sorry. But there is no return on mattresses. Mine you. My sales lady said there is a 1% return rate. That's how good it is. I went and bought a $300 mattress from menards. Sleep great know. So be cautious. Very cautious. Hate the mattress. And know I'm out 2k. Will never buy from art van ever again. I actually spent 3 k that day. Bought 2 recliners also. Week after I got it. Massage went out. Well that was a different fight of its own to get that repaired.
Bought a $ 2200.00 couch an love seat 5 years ago an purchased the ten year warranty & now they won't warranty the furniture. One tech said we didn't saturate the leather with conditioner , the cleaning supplies the store gave us didn't say anything about that on the bottle , so another tech comes out an said to much wear, there it anyone at home home from 6am until 6pm an I travel for work so I'm not home much so they are telling me my wife an daughter wore out the furniture in 5 yrs don't think so they just don't stand behind anything they say!!!! I will never purchase another thing from any Art Van store again, I would rather buy furniture from Big Lots at least I know what I'm getting!!!!!!!
Update: Adjustment to our bill has still not been made (it has been over 2 mths now) STILL waiting for Sharon to call me back, been 5 days now
I would not recommend Art Van. If you ever have a warranty problem they are extremely hard to work with to fix the problem. Especially since it was my mattress I had to sleep on a air mattress for a long time because of their poor service.
